Following a comprehensive evaluation, with sustainability serving as a key criterion, Gasunie Netherlands and Gasunie Germany awarded new multi-year framework agreements to six manufacturers for the production and delivery of critical pipeline materials for hydrogen, natural gas, CO₂ and other energy infrastructure. Corinth Pipeworks’ inclusion reaffirms its leading position in supplying high-quality, sustainable steel pipeline solutions to key European energy networks.
The framework agreements, with a potential total value of €2.5 billion, will run for an initial four-year period, with options for extension. Under these contracts, Corinth Pipeworks will support Gasunie’s ambitious program to develop a future-proof energy grid, including projects related to the Dutch hydrogen backbone, the Delta Rhine Corridor, and several infrastructure developments in Germany.
Commitment to sustainability and innovation
The tender placed strong emphasis on sustainability, challenging suppliers to deliver pipeline solutions with reduced carbon footprint. Corinth Pipeworks continues to integrate advanced reduced emission production technologies, enhanced transparency through value chain and circular-economy principles into its manufacturing processes. These capabilities were key drivers in our successful inclusion in the tender.
Supporting Europe’s transition to clean energy
The award strengthens our contribution to Europe’s evolving energy landscape. Through reliable manufacturing, strong technical expertise, and a proven track record in hydrogen-certified high-pressure steel pipelines, Corinth Pipeworks is committed to supporting the timely execution of Gasunie’s onshore energy infrastructure projects.
Corinth Pipeworks looks forward to working closely with Gasunie and project partners in the Netherlands and Germany to deliver safe, high-performance pipeline solutions that will play a vital role in Europe’s decarbonisation and security of supply.

About Gasunie Netherlands
Gasunie is an energy network operator. In the Netherlands and the northern part of Germany, we manage and maintain the infrastructure for large-scale transport and storage of gas. At the moment, this is mainly natural gas, but the energy transition will increasingly bring about a shift towards green gas and hydrogen. We also collaborate in the construction and management of heat and CO2 grids. We ensure that this part of the energy supply is safe, reliable and as sustainable as possible, ensuring that everyone has access to energy, always. About Gasunie Germany
Our mission is to transport gas in a sustainable, reliable and affordable manner. By doing this we create a valuable contribution to both society and the economy. The infrastructure of Gasunie is located in the heart of the Northwestern EU gas market. It serves as an international hub for gas transport by connecting both suppliers and consumers in the industrial and commercial, as well as the private sector. By doing so, Gasunie secures the EU gas transit. The development of our know-how in the past combined with what we are learning from our new ongoing projects, gives us an excellent position to maneuver in the upcoming energy transition towards green gas and hydrogen. Several biogas plants are currently feeding directly into our transport system - the energy of the future is thereby already starting today.
