- Gas & CCS
Natural gas is the cleanest fossil fuel and will remain a major transition fuel until carbon-free energy sources become reliable and competitive. Natural gas and biogas can reduce the sector’s carbon footprint, while carbon capture and storage (CCS) is increasingly recognized as critical to maintain low-carbon fossil fuels in the future green energy mix. Some of the sources, such as natural gas processing, CCS can be applied more effectively.
- Hydrogen
Hydrogen is a central element of the future energy mix and in energy transition. It offers great flexibility across multiple applications, such as fuel for power generation and for energy storage, and facilitate the wider integration of renewables.
